On the occasion of National Unity Day, Pskov State University and Belarusian-Russian University came together to celebrate a shared cultural legacy through a heartfelt literary event titled “The Soul of the People in the Works of Poets and Writers.” The event was held via teleconference. It connected the members of the “Russian-Belarusian Union ‘VMESTE’” consortium, a collaboration of 16 institutions fostering academic and cultural exchange. The consortium includes universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Brest, Grodno, Vitebsk, and Polotsk. Opening the session, Olga Serova, First Vice-Rector of Pskov State University, invoked the timeless words of Alexander Pushkin: “My friends, our union is beautiful!” These lines, which inspired the creation of the consortium in 2023, set the tone for an event rooted in unity and shared identity.
