Pskov State University proudly participated in the II Indo-Russian Education Summit 2026 (IRES 2026), organized by Rus Education in collaboration with Rossotrudnichestvo, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India, and Russian House, New Delhi. Held at Le Méridien, New Delhi, the summit brought together leading Russian universities, distinguished delegates, education leaders, and aspiring students to strengthen educational cooperation between India and Russia. During the summit, Pskov State University engaged with students and parents interested in pursuing medical education in the Russian Federation. On the occasion of National Unity Day, Pskov State University and Belarusian-Russian University came together to celebrate a shared cultural legacy through a heartfelt literary event titled “The Soul of the People in the Works of Poets and Writers.” The event was held via teleconference. It connected the members of the “Russian-Belarusian Union ‘VMESTE’” consortium, a collaboration of 16 institutions fostering academic and cultural exchange. The consortium includes universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Brest, Grodno, Vitebsk, and Polotsk. Opening the session, Olga Serova, First Vice-Rector of Pskov State University, invoked the timeless words of Alexander Pushkin: “My friends, our union is beautiful!” These lines, which inspired the creation of the consortium in 2023, set the tone for an event rooted in unity and shared identity. Participants recited poetry and reflected on literary works that capture the spirit and cultural depth of both nations. The gathering highlighted not just artistic expression, but also the enduring bond between Russian and Belarusian academic communities.
